Most of these groups are from Yahoo. Some are public, and some are members only. Read the FULL descriptions before joining. BAUPS (Birmingham Area Unschooling Parents) is open to all Birmingham (Alabama) area homeschooling parents. Most of our members are relaxed homeschoolers or unschoolers, but all are welcome. Our focus is support and planning of activities. We are tolerant of all religion and request that new members keep that in mind when joining.
Central Alabama Home Educators Association We
are a bunch of home schooling mom's in Central AL & surrounding
areas that meet mostly in Montgomery AL for playgroups, family
potlucks, field trips, and other fun events. We have scheduled
many outings/etc for our homeschooling children to participate
in and encourage any of the members to plan and host any fun

NCSAA Alabama
This is NCSAA's Homeschool Athletic News and Help Group for
families in the state of Alabama. The most significant benefit
of being a part of this group is the opportunity to interact

North Alabama Homeschool Forum
A forum for homeschoolers in North Alabama to
share ideas and information about events and curricula. It is
also a forum to have fun.
OATHE is the Open Activity Team for Home Educators (a.k.a.
homeschool) in the Greater Birmingham Area of Alabama. OATHE was
created to plan local activities in the Clay, Pinson and
Trussville areas, but all homeschoolers are welcome to
join the team! Park days, "backyard" sports activities, and
possibly local fieldtrips will be announced as often as
possible. Additionally, members can post homeschool-related
support messages, such as curriculum information,
educational/family events, and educational resources.

largest Christian support groups in Alabama. They have over 300
families and offer varsity teams in football, basketball, and
baseball, choir and lots of other classes and field trips. Open
to all homeschoolers.
